Teaching Practices

PA3, PA5 and PA6: Teaching Practice assignment synthesize your development in this TDP course. They are very practical assignments based on what you have discussed, seen and read while enrolled in this course. But these assignments are also related to your daily responsibilities and to what you have gained as an English teacher. Therefore, they may be seen as the bread and butter of your job or the essence of your job as an English teacher.


It is a requirement of this Teacher Development course to complete three Teaching Practice assignments. Each teacher must teach at least one lesson for language systems and at least one lesson for language skills over the three teaching practice assignments.

Requirements for the Teaching Practice Assignments

You should:
1. Prepare a full lesson plan. Use the form suggested for in the course guide
2. Design or select appropriate materials for lessons taught
3. Discuss and share your lesson plan with your colleagues and tutor during input time.
4. Complete a self-evaluation sheet. Complete the group feedback summary notes form after feedback
5. You need to file the lesson plan, the post-teaching reflection and the written feedback from your tutor in your teaching portfolio.
